Bumble ditches the swipe for an AI wingman 🐝
so there's no more swiping?

Bumble just announced an AI dating assistant called Bee that replaces traditional swiping with actual conversation. Instead of judging photos, users talk to the AI about their values and goals during onboarding. It then matches people and explains exactly why they're compatible.

does it actually work?

It's still in pilot testing, but investors are already buying in. Shares jumped after the earnings call where CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd said the goal is getting people offline faster. The full revamp, Bumble 2.0, pairs chapter-based profiles with a cloud-native backend to feed the AI richer data. Revenue beat last quarter even as paying users dipped, so this pivot is Bumble's big bet on winning back Gen Z.

BMW puts humanoid robots on the factory floor 🤖
👀 where?

Earlier this month, BMW launched its first humanoid robot pilot at its plant in Leipzig, Germany. The AEON robot handles high-voltage battery assembly and other tasks that are physically brutal for human workers. It stands 1.65 meters tall, rolls on wheels at 2.5 meters per second, and swaps between grippers and scanners depending on the job.

....but, is this replacing workers?

BMW says no. The robots complement humans on ergonomically brutal tasks, not replace them. The company launched a Centre of Competence for Physical AI and is positioning these machines as modular tools that move between different plant areas. This follows a successful U.S. trial with Figure AI. The Leipzig pilot expands this summer as BMW evaluates a network-wide rollout.

👀 weekly challenge: audit your brain performance
what's the challenge?

This week, we're using AI to figure out exactly when your brain is firing on all cylinders and when it's running on fumes.

Here's what to do:

📂 Step 1: Download your new coach. Head to Pinnacle and set up your profile. The app uses your phone sensors to track focus levels and mental energy throughout the day.

Step 2: Take the 15-minute audit. Follow the tutorial to run your first brain audit. It identifies your cognitive state and maps your natural rhythms.

🧠 Step 3: Set your micro habits. Let the AI suggest one small habit based on your data. Maybe a three-minute breathing exercise when focus dips, or a timed walk away from your screen.

💬 Step 4: Check your focus score. At the end of the day, review your focus map. You'll see which tasks drained you and which kept you locked in, so you can plan tomorrow smarter.

Is conversational AI the cure for dating app burnout, or will we miss the simplicity of the swipe? And, are humanoid factory workers the future of European manufacturing? We'd love to hear your thoughts!
