Bingo. Sam Altman just called himself "pretty wrong", a year after warning whole job categories would vanish. Dario Amodei, who once warned AI could wipe out half of entry-level white-collar jobs, now says automating 90% of a role just makes humans 10x more productive at the rest.

Both companies are heading for trillion-dollar IPOs and need investors and governments onside. The Yale Budget Lab backs them up somewhat: no real shift in the job mix since ChatGPT launched. But the Fed's Lisa Cook warned this week the real disruption may still be coming.

The cosmetics are the warm-up. The real bet is Meta One, AI tiers testing next month at $7.99 and $19.99 with deeper reasoning and image/video generation. At $7.99 it pointedly undercuts ChatGPT Plus at $20. Meta is staring down $145B in AI spend this year and needs revenue that isn't ads.
